COAPB wins the Australian Pipe Band Championships
The band won first place at the Australian Pipe Band Championships
in Sydney on 2nd November, 2008. A very successful "day at the office"
earned the band first place in piping and drumming in every event.
Festival Interceltique de Lorient
The City of Adelaide Pipe Band performed over ten days in July/August
2006 at the Festival
Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany, France. The band was invited
to play in what was the "Year of Australia" at the world's
largest Celtic festival. The festival is held annually and attracts
crowds
of around 700,000 spectators who are entertained by 4,500 performers
at hundreds of events including concerts, street parades, cabarets,
and the very popular Nuits Magiques (Magic Nights). [photos]
