Where can you see the band perform?
Dinner
The band is holding a dinner on Saturday 12th July at the Rob Roy Hotel,
106 Halifax Street, Adelaide. Tickets are $40 each and include a
three course meal, entertainment (pipe band and lounge band) and
a complimentary cocktail. Tickets are availble from
Iain Carr on 8395 7452 or at secretary@adelaidepipeband.com.
Funds raised will go towards the band's trip to Sydney to compete
at the Australian Pipe Band Championships.
Festival Interceltique de Lorient
The City of Adelaide Pipe Band performed over ten days in July/August
2006 at the Festival
Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany, France. The band was invited
to play in what was the "Year of Australia" at the world's
largest Celtic festival. The festival is held annually and attracts
crowds
of around 700,000 spectators who are entertained by 4,500 performers
at hundreds of events including concerts, street parades, cabarets,
and the very popular Nuits Magiques (Magic Nights). [photos]
